On American Idol, Maddie Poppe sang and performed an incredible rendition of “Homeward Bound” by Simon and Garfunkel. Katy Perry said she closed her eyes and she thought she was listening to Joannie Mitchel. Katy noted that Maddie has incredible musical tastes and it really shows. Katy said a lot of people can sing but not everyone has tastes.

Luke Bryan prays that the people at home felt the way that he did in this room. Luke said it was a ride. Luke called her so seasoned and big time pro. Lionel Ritchie said we are a business of stylists and that you present you. Lionel said if you continue that you call that a career and maybe the winner of American Idol.
