[ubuntu] Broadcom Corporation BCM (Wireless) driver??
One quick note, the laptop is a Compaq Presario V I then removed the AirLink and ran rfkill and it still showed no for both but when I bxm4318 the wireless button the hard showed blocked. I tried these suggestions:. Not sure, but if doesn’t immediately work, then reboot. It is maintained upstream here.
Job is already running: This is simply a script to extract and install the b43 driver firmware, maintained by the Ubuntu community. If you are having a WiFi issue, please see below on getting this addressed.
Submit a new link. Once resolved, I again went over whole installing exercise, including fresh reinstall to make sure there are no remnants of other installsand straight to option 2 as suggested by wireless.
Below is my output for my cards as I am presently using an AirLink to post this and get WiFi temporarily.

This book contains many real life examples derived from the author’s experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. Post back output of this terminal command please: I knew they had Linux drivers all along, since something needs to be driving the Broadcom chips in wireless routers that run Linux, but my sense had always been that Broadcom was extremely uncooperative with the Linux community and refused to release any kind of drivers publicly.
If it doesn’t work, please file a bug report as per the support article.
Broadcom 43xx wireless devices
It looks as if the system is not recognizing your Broadcom. The computer has internet access now, but I don’t want to carry the tower up 2 flights of stairs every time I want to download somthing xD. If you’d like to contribute content, let us know. I presumed it was a Broadcom issue and have been trying to update the drivers in hopes it would fix my issue. Suggestions and corrections are welcome especially corrections.
