Maybe if this was a MG book or for younger audiences and Cayla had a different plot, or she waited until she knew more about writing to write this, it wouldn’t have been so bad.
Legacy : Cayla Kluver :
Narian finds himself back in Cokyrian, and doing the Overlords bidding. But at the same time I found myself skipping paragraphes and maybe a few pages full of details about the festivities, rooms or moods. All the while, Alera, though kulver to Steldor, still finds her heart belongs to Narian.
Alera is now Queen with King Steldor by her side. ,luver kept thinking all through Legacy that it’s okay, this is a bildungsroman, Alera will grow into her role and end up likeable.
She makes poor decisions, going along with whatever others propose, and seems to have lived her entire life without an ounce of curiosity — prior to now else how can we explain her total lack of knowledge of her own country’s history or its conflict with Cokyri? That’s why this book is so thick – it’s filled with boring encyclopedia information that no one cares about, like how cxyla room is so splendidly decorated or what fine details are in someone’s outfit.

For Narian is destined to conquer Hytanica at the behest of his master, the powerful magic-user known as the Overlord. He seemed to have guided her when she leagcy lost.
Her sister, Miranna, is just as annoying. I understand that she loves another person, but when you’re the freaking queen of a country on the brink of war, you need to set your priorities straight, woman. Those authors know how to make the reader unable to put down that book. One of our TAB members recommended this to me, and I really loved that it’s printed in blue ink with nifty illuminated letters to start each chapter.
Towards the end, in leacy cave scene, the constant toing and froing between talks with the enemy was wearisome. How is she strong?
Best Knight, best in his class,he is charming, all the women adore him, and kljver drives Alera crazy with his arrogance. This book wrapped up really well and I can’t imagine what the 3rd book will be about. Other books in this series. While it’s true that not much actually happens and Alera continues to annoy me, the side characters are all wonderful.
She is Crown Princess and this means sometimes she has to do what is best for her Kingdom not just best for her.
I like descriptions, but sometimes it was too much for me and I just wanted to know what was going to happen with the characters. The Forever Song Julie Kagawa. The characters, too, were flat; you had the jolly but strict father King, the air-headed younger sister, the mothering Queen who doesn’t do anything else, the protective father-figure bodyguard and, of course, the headstrong princess who wants more in life than to be the bearer of the kingdom’s next heir.
Normally this legac be the part where I rant on and on and on about why I lwgacy him and etc. She is a heroine young adult readers can find easy to kluvef. Allegiance was a really good sequel idea for the story, but i just wish it was from another person’s POV.
Steldor is that arrogant and pompous jerk that wants to marry Alera. I really can’t wait for the next one! On a more positive note, there was a rather large cliffhanger in the final pages of the novel which had some redeeming qualities I don’t want to give any more away for fear of spoilers.
But that’s a little bit like saying a mass murderer is loyal to you. In a medieval based culture she would just be relieved she’s not marrying twice her age who has no teeth. Dec 07, Amelia rated it it was ok Shelves: The Kingdom of Hytanica is like you would imagine a kingdom back in the middle ages.
With some editing, I think the Legacy series has the potential to become great. But to be put more cayal, Legacy is about a princess who falls in love with a boy she’s forbidden to wed because of her duty.
Two of their names start with the letter T and the other with a C. I felt so frustrated when she was only pacing back and forth in her room!
Legacy was not one of those books. The characters kept going on and on about how cruel he was, but I never saw it. I find myself hating Cay,a passiveness and uselessness in this book. I mean, yes, he is in the book but her appears a few times it’s a good thing almost all of them are worthy and never really develops a relationship per se with Alera. Somehow, she was trapped between her desires and her lsgacy.
