Warraq’s commentary on Islam is considered by some to be overly polemical defnding revisionist, while others praise it as well-researched. While Orientalism survives this initial critique, Warraq is able to establish several fundamental concerns that when defendnig with the latter chapters form the foundation for potentially rejecting Said. The style is a bit too aggressive and lively to my taste, but it synthesizes a lot of the critique on Said’s orientalism.
